In 2014, Soon graduated from the Milwaukee Area Technical College with a degree in Television and Video Production. His journey in the television industry began in 2012 while still a student at MATC, where he worked on several local Emmy-nominated and award-winning programs, including Adelante, Black Nouveau, and Around the Corner with John Mcgivern. He also gained experience in live event production, eventually becoming the head of production for the Milwaukee Hmong New Year in 2023.

Following his graduation, Soon embarked on his career in the film industry as a freelance assistant editor for local production companies such as About Face Media, Purple Onion Films, and September Club. His notable projects include serving as one of the assistant editors for Zedd: True Colors the Documentary and The Blood is at the Doorstep, which earned recognition at the 2021 Red Rose Film Festival as the Best Documentary.

Soon's dedication and expertise led him to advance within About Face Media, where he eventually became an editor. With over a decade of experience under his belt, Soon established his own production company, Kindle Motion Pictures LLC, in 2022.
