Vincent James Mentoring (VJM) is a Waukesha-based nonprofit dedicated to restoring hope, strengthening families, and enriching the lives of teens. Through its programs and outreach, VJM focuses on nurturing faith, love, and new perspectives within the community.

A Story of Resilience and Legacy
The inspiration behind VJM traces back to two pivotal figures:
Jim, who fostered Matt for 13 years and treated him as his own, imparting the core values of love and family that would later become VJM’s foundation.
Matt, who spent his childhood in foster care and endured the loss of seven loved ones by age 17. His life turned around when he attended a teen outreach program in 1999. Over the years, Matt held roles from mentee to volunteer to staff member—equipping him to launch Vincent James Mentoring with clarity and purpose.
